Welcome to the Jennings Carnegie Public Library Website
Monday – Thursday 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
Friday and Saturday 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
The Jennings Carnegie Public Library was established in 1885 and currently offers to the community 33,244 books, 64 magazine subscriptions, 835 audio books and 220 videos. Also, Internet accessible computers are available for patron use. The library is staffed by 3 full time and 4 part time employees.
During the summer (June and July) the library focuses on encouraging children to read by offering a summer reading program with 'Carnegie Dollars' as an incentive. For every 30 minutes a child reads or is read to, they receive a 'Carnegie Dollar'. On Thursdays the Carnegie Dollar Store is open for business and children may then purchase prizes. Each child who finishes the program receives a cerfiticate and enjoys a place at the party.
